Who we are

We are an extension English Ministry (EM) of Davis Korean Church. We are located in Davis, CA about 2 miles away from the UC Davis campus. We are a non-denominational, evangelical community growing and learning together to worship our Savior. We exist for the purpose of raising up disciples and disciple-makers of Jesus Christ.

The mission of Harvest Life Fellowship is to raise up disciples and disciple-makers of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to raise up disciples in the context of personal relationships, small groups, corporate worship, and in missions both local and worldwide.

What we Believe

The Scripture: We believe the Bible is the written word of God.

It is the only infallible rule of faith and duty, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts.

God: We believe there is but one God and He alone is to be worshipped.

He is a Spirit, self-existent, omnipresent, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth and love.

The Trinity: We believe in the Godhead, there are three Persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

And these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

The Creation: We believe all things visible and invisible were created by God.

All things were created by the word of His power, and are preserved and governed by Him so that, while He is in no way the Author of sin, He works all things according to the counsel of His will.

Humanity: We believe God created man, male and female, after his own image.

God created them in knowledge, righteousness and holiness, with dominion over the creatures.

Sin: We believe that because of the rebellion of the first man, sin entered the world.

Death entered the world through sin, and in this way death came to all men. Thus all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God's displeasure, except by His mercy.

Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.

Through His perfect life and sacrificial death and resurrection Jesus atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit helps people to trust and follow Christ.

The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, indwells God's people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

Salvation: We believe that God in His mercy and grace, sent His Son Jesus Chris to rescue us from death.

We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Savior Jesus Christ; that the new birth of the believer comes only through repentance and faith in Christ and in no other. And because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.

Christian Life: We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Apostles: The apostolic authority today is found only in the Bible.

We believe that an apostle was one who was sent with authority to speak for Jesus who commissioned him; that the biblical criteria for apostleship included being an eyewitness of Jesus' resurrection, and called directly by Christ. Thus we believe that there are no apostles today in the biblical sense, and the apostolic authority today is found only in the Bible.

The Last Day: We believe at the Last Day the dead shall be raised, and all shall appear before the judgment seat of Christ.

At that Day Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

Affirmation of Faith

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy Christian Church; the communiion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
